Bookings & Payments

Once ready to book my reservation, what is the payment structure?
While this model is subject to change in the future, the fundamental approach to reserving / booking a lake house property on 5RK Ranch Lakeside is as follows:
  • 50% Cost of Reservation Due at Time of Booking
  • 50% Cost of Reservation Due 60 Days Ahead of Arrival Date
  • Any Additional / Incremental Service Fee's Incurred Due on Check-Out Date

    • What is the 5RK Ranch Lakeside cancellation policy?
    While this policy is subject to change in the future, the current 5RK Ranch Lakeside cancellation policy is as follows:
  • Guest cancellations made more than 60 days before the reservation arrival date will receive full-refund of reservation costs paid
  • Guest cancellations made between 60 days and 30 days before the reservation arrival date will receive a 50% refund of reservation costs paid
  • Guest cancellations made less than 30 days before the reservation arrival date will not be entitled to a refund of any reservation costs paid

    • Is a security deposit required?
    Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) is offered as optional on some booking platforms while automatically included (mandatory) on some platforms. ADP is required and included in Guest pricing provided at the time of booking a reservation on many online travel agencies (OTA’s) and booking platforms such as Airbnb, VRBO, & Booking.com. An ADP is required and included in the rates associated with reservations booked directly on 5RK Ranch Lakeside websites. This approach benefits all parties and is activated in place of a significantly larger security deposit at the time of booking.
    ALL Guests of 5RK Ranch Lakeside MUST activate an ADP with 5RK Ranch Lakeside prior to check-in, or execute a Host determined and approved security deposit if the Guest stay is for 21 consecutive nights or longer.
    For Guest stays of 21 consecutive nights or longer, additional ADP considerations may be required by Host. Host will reach out directly to Guest at time of booking as necessary & applicable.

    Will I be required to execute a rental agreement?

    YES. All Guests of 5RK Ranch Lakeside properties will be required to execute a rental agreement after booking a reservation, and execution of the rental agreement is mandatory prior to check-in. Guests will not be allowed to check-in without execution of the rental agreement.

    Does 5RK Ranch Lakeside offer longer-term rental options?
    YES!! 5RK Ranch Lakeside welcomes and can accommodate multi-week, monthly, & season-long rental needs! And the longer the stay, the greater the discounts. Reach out to the 5RK Ranch Lakeside Concierge Team and let's discuss how we can help.

    Property Details

    What is the occupancy / how many Guests can each Lake House accommodate?
    Maximum Total Occupancy - Both LODGE and LAKESIDE #1 Lakehouse units (properties) within 5RK Ranch Lakeside are set-up to comfortably accommodate 12-persons (total), but if kids or young people (0-17) want to throw a few sleeping bags on the floor -- the house can accommodate 14+ Guests. Guest will be responsible for an additional “per night / extra Guest fee” for occupancy above 12 total Guests. Check with the host if you have any questions regarding capacity to accommodate the number of Guests in your group.

    Maximum Adult Capacity (age 18 or older) per Guest House: 12 Adults

    Host may consider approving requests for additional members of the Guest group (on a per Lake House unit basis)

    MUST BE mutually agreeable by both Guest and Host AT TIME OF BOOKING

    Additional Occupancy Fee: Guest will be responsible for an additional “per night / extra Guest fee” for occupancy above 12 total Guests Host may not be able to provide Guest w/resources for “additional Guests” above and beyond the standard capacity of 12 Guests

    Guest responsible to provide additional Guest sleeping necessities such as sleeping bags, air mattress, pillows, blankets, or the like.

    What is the parking situation? Can you accommodate trailers?
    5RK Ranch Lakeside has plenty of room for vehicle parking – for Guests ONLY

    Please provide guidance to the 5RK Ranch Lakeside team prior to your arrival as to any parking needs you may have – such as how many vehicles and/or how many boat/snowmobile/other ATV trailers, or the like.

    PLEASE NOTE THIS IS PART OF THE CHECK IN FORM Guests receive via the 5RK Ranch Lakeside GuestApp after booking confirmation.

  • Park only in designated areas
  • No driving or parking on grass or landscaping
  • Boat trailers, ATVs, or snowmobiles (if applicable) must be approved
  • Guests are responsible for towing or vehicle recovery costs (if applicable)
  • Camping on any kind is not allowed on 5RK Ranch Lakeside at any time. This includes vans, motor homes, RV’s, tents, or any other.

    • Are 5RK Ranch Lakeside properties able to accommodate ages 0-4?
    YES. While parents and guardians of infants and small children between the ages of 0-4 should make sure to bring "all the resources that they need" to support the unique needs of those between age 0-4, Guests will find within each lake house property at 5RK Ranch Lakeside a bath tub as well as basic pack and play to help support Guest needs.

    Describe the layout of the 5RK - Lodge lake house property.
    Property Lay-Out; The Lodge (available no stair access):

    The Lodge is a 6-bedroom / 2.5 bathroom ranch-style multi-family lake house property with an exceptional panoramic sunrise to sunset view from a perfect elevation on a peninsula point on the 20-acre 5RK Ranch Lakeside estate

    Great room designed for all to gather, and includes

  • Center-counter dine-in kitchen seating for 4 persons
  • Full dining table for 10+ persons
  • 2 bar-height workspaces each with raised seating for 2 persons

  • 65” inch smart TV with Guest access to all their favorite streaming applications

    • Water & Boats

    Can I bring my own boat? Is there a dock suitable to secure my boat?
    Guests bringing their own boat will find plenty of space along our private boat docks to secure boats up to 25 ft in length. 5RK Ranch Lakeside boat docks include secure dock cleats, fixed anti-scratch bumpers, and solar powered dock lights.

    Are boats available for rent during our stay?

    For Guests needing to rent a pontoon boat (or other) for their stay, ask 5RK Ranch Lakeside for assistance!

    We have established a concierge-level partnership with a premiere boat rental company in Hayward WI
    Rental boats will be delivered and picked-up directly to our lake house property
    Guests staying for a week (7 nights) or longer may qualify for a special 5RK Ranch Lakeside discount

    IF YOU NEED A BOAT RENTAL FOR YOUR STAY - DO NOT WAIT to reserve!
    Many Guests reserve their boats and lake houses 9-12 months in advance

    Is there easy boat access between Big Round and Little Round lakes?
    YES. There is a signifcant and well maintained waterway thoroughfare located between Big Round and Little Round lakes - which together form the entirety of "Round Lake" in Hayward Wisconsin.

    This waterway runs under a bridge on County Road B that runs directly between the 2 bodies of water. Family and Guests of 5RK Ranch Lakeside have personally used this thoroughfare for the last 100 years.

    Does 5RK Ranch Lakeside provide water sport/activity equipment?
    5RK Ranch Lakeside provides some basic on-property equipment with each individual Guest lake house (no cost) such as a canoe or kayak, a stand up paddle board, as well as a sturdy free-standing rack for storage of these items — all secured by lock and anti-theft cable. These items will be kept in close proximity to the private dock accompanying the individual Guest lake house property.

    Activities & Amenities

    Is there a gym or workout facility on property?
    While there is not an on-property workout facility at 5RK Ranch Lakeside, as a valued guest we are happy to extend to you member access during your stay to The Monarch Gym, a premier full-service gym / health and wellness community located in Downtown Hayward WI. This is a brand new, state of the art fitness and wellness facility (including indoor pickleball court and more) with a health food grocery & kitchen. The Monarch Gym is only 10 minutes from 5RK Ranch Lakeside estate.

    Is there a golf course nearby?
    Hayward WI is home to many great golf options for all skill levels. 5RK Ranch Lakeside has memberships at two (2) premier full-service 18-hole championship golf courses in the area: Hayward Golf Course (15 min away) and Big Fish Golf Club (5 min away). Guest's of 5RK Ranch Lakeside may qualify for special discounts.

    PLEASE NOTE: During May - September Peak Season Tee Times are in high demand and book up fast! Advanced planning recommended.

    We are seeking a stay and play golf weekend destination - does 5RK Ranch Lakeside offer any such packages given the close proximity to both Big Fish Golf Club and Hayward Golf Course?
    5RK Ranch Lakeside maintains a business membership at both Big Fish (only ~ 5 min away) and Hayward Golf Course (about ~12 min away). And as a result, we pass along discounts to our Guests seeking to play at either of those courses (not including cart fees). And pending weather / course availability, we occassionally will release "stay and play" golf package promotions specifically for Guest groups of 5RK Ranch Lakeside who stay with us and want to play multiple days / rounds of golf at either of the courses.

    5RK Ranch Lakeside typically will put together golf packages in partnership with the specific Golf Courses pending course availability and Guest interest; Spring (i.e. April / May) and Fall (September/October).

    Can 5RK Ranch Lakeside provide local recommendations and guidance?
    5RK Ranch Lakeside is all about helping you to curate ""your"" perfect lakeside experience for the season. IF we can be of assistance as you plan your perfect experience - please do not hesitate to contact the 5RK Ranch Lakeside Concierge team. 5RK Ranch Lakeside also provides Guests with a ""5RK Digital Guidebook"", which will include local recommendations and information of interest.

    House Rules & Policies

    What are the standard check-in & check-out times? Are requests for early check-in and/or late check-out considered?

    Standard Check-in and check-out times are specific and clearly stated as follows:
    Check-In: 3pm CT on arrival date
    Check-Out: 11am CT on departure date

    Requests for early check-In and/or late check-outs require approval and may or may not be available.

    Special check-in and / or check-out accommodations may result in an additional accommodation fee (check with host at time of request)

    Cleaning crews have very busy schedules and plan for arrivals and departures well in advance. Host will accommodate Guest requests if able, but Guests are asked to respect standard check-in and check-out times if unable to approve

    Are Guest pets allowed?
    While the owners and purveyors of 5RK Ranch Lakeside LOVE animals and pets of all shapes and sizes, we regret that currently we cannot accommodate Guest pets.

    Are service animals considered?
    Host will consider service animal requests (max of 1 per lake house unit). Guest will be requested to provide appropriate documentation and an accompanying picture of the specific Service Animal for consideration prior to booking. If approved and upon booking a reservation, Guest acknowledges that an additional pet cleaning fee will be assessed for the associated stay (estimate: $150 for stay, subject to cleaning service fee after check-out).

    Do you allow smoking, vaping, or smokeless tobacco?
    The 5RK Ranch Lakeside estate is a smoke-free environment. At no time may any Guest use any smoking, vaping, OR smokeless tobacco products indoors within any of the lake house properties. Smoking, vaping, and use of smokeless tobacco products is only permitted outdoors.
    Proper disposal of cigarette butts and by-products is required and is the sole responsibility of the Guest. Use of illegal substances are strictly prohibited at all times.

    Fire-pits, Fireworks, and BBQ grills policy
    Fires are only allowed in designated fire pits on 5RK Ranch Lakeside property

  • NO FIREWORKS or SKY LANTERNS OF ANY KIND AT ANY TIME
  • BBQ GAS Grills are provided to Guests for their use during their stay (1 for each Lake house)

    • Guest Experience & Communication

    Once we book our reservation, how will we communicate with the Host and get access to important information associated with our stay?

    "The 5RK Ranch Lakeside team will always be readily accessible in your preferred contact channel: call, SMS text, email, or booking platform.

    Upon booking your stay, the primary point of contact in your group will be sent multiple pre-arrival communications through the channel used to originally book the reservation. Pre-arrival communications will include a cloud-based link to access the 5RK Ranch Lakeside GuestApp which is ia ""Digital Guidebook"". This GuestApp is a repository of important information, guidance, and recommendations specific to your reservation. "

    Does 5RK Ranch Lakeside provide a Digital Guidebook?

    YES.

    Upon booking your stay at the 5RK Ranch Lakeside, Guests will be sent pre-arrival communications thru the channel Guest used to originally book the reservation.

    As part of the pre-arrival communications, Guest will receive a cloud-based link to access the 5RK Ranch Lakeside GUESTAPP that is a repository of important information, guidance and recommendations from around the area, and specific other details to help Guests have the best possible experience from arrival to departure

    This GuestApp is a mobile accessible, user-friendly repository of information Guests of the 5RK Ranch Lakeside might find valuable as it keeps the rental agreement, house guidelines, and other pertinent information always at their fingertips

    Can we pre-order groceries and other necessities ahead of our arrival?

    Absolutely!!

    And the 5RK Ranch Lakeside concierge team is available to help you curate your best Guest experience during your stay with us.

    If you are seeking to save time upon your arrival to Hayward WI - Guests can simply pre-order groceries at multiple business entities as preferred by your group.

    The 2 most popular shopping destinations for pre-ordering groceries and other vacation necessities, both stores located in Downtown Hayward WI area and within a few minutes of each other - are: Marketplace Foods and Walmart.

    As an idea, some of our Guests pre-purchase their beach towels ahead of time at Walmart and pick them up when they arrive while also picking up their food and beverage groceries. And prior to departure, they donate their towels to local charity or donation center.

    Snowmobile Trails & Winter Activities

    Please describe the proximity and access to the nearest snowmobile trail access from the 5RK Ranch Lakeside property.

    The 5RK Ranch Lakeside property sits along the south shore of little round lake -- upon which the official DNR staked snowmobile trails cross. You can see the trail from our main great room window and you'll have easy access on / off the frozen lake in order to connect with the trail about 250 yards away.

    Are there any bars or restaurants nearby, easily accessable by Snowmobile (or ATV)?

    YES!

    In case you are not familiar with Round Lake, there are multiple well established snowmobile friendly bars and restaurants very close to the 5RK Ranch Lakeside property.

    Two of these such establishments are "Powells on Round Lake" and "The Dock".

    From any of our private lake house properties, you can look out across the lake and see the official DNR staked snowmobile trail and "The Dock".

    The trails are very easy to access from 5RK Ranch Lakeside and there are many other such places nearby that Guests will surely enjoy.

    Another fun destination location is SevenWinds Casino, which is less than 5 minutes away - accessible by snowmobile/ATV trails or car (sits along HWY B).
