Upon booking your stay at the 5RK Ranch Lakeside, the primary point of contact in your group (aka Booking Guest) will be sent multiple pre-arrival communications thru the channel used to originally book the reservation.
Pre-arrival communications will include a cloud-based link to access the 5RK Ranch Lakeside GuestApp which is in essence a "Digital Guidebook". This GuestApp is a repository of important information, guidance, and recommendations. The 5RK Ranch Lakeside GuestAPP will detail a customized Guest profile specific to "your reservation" -- and will include a check-in form with required documents such as our rental agreement, house rules & guidelines, and other valuable information such as our guest recommendations, all with the intention of helping our Guests to create an amazing 5RK Ranch Lakeside experience!!!
Is there easy boat access between Big Round and Little Round lakes?? Can my boat safely navigate the waterway to access the entirety of Round Lake?
YES. There is a significant waterway thoroughfare between Big Round and Little Round lakes - which together form the entirety of "Round Lake" in Hayward Wisconsin. This waterway runs under a bridge on County Road B that runs directly between the 2 bodies of water - which can be easily seen and accessed in front of Round Lake Marina. Family and Guests of 5RK Ranch Lakeside have personally used this thoroughfare for the last 100 years, and in recent years the Wisconsin DNR and RLPOA actually expanded the waterway to ensure width and depth for safe navigation. What is the occupancy / how many Guests can each Lake House accomodate on 5RK Ranch Lakeside?
Maximum Total Occupancy per each Lake House; 12 Guests Standard, Flex-up to 16 Guests (subject to Host approval for additional per Guest fee)
Host may consider approving requests for additional members of the Guest group up to a total of 16 Guests per each Lake House unit provided additional Guests age 0-17
Guest is responsible to provide additional Guest sleeping necessities such as sleeping bags, air mattress, pillows, blankets, or the like
Host does not provide for any sleeping resources for “additional Guests”
Maximum # of Adults (age 18 or older) per Guest House: 12 Adults
Additional Occupancy Fee: Guest will be responsible for an additional “Guest fee” for each occupant above the core occupancy level of 12 total Guests.

The Lodge is a legacy ranch-style lake house that was renovated / refreshed in 2025, but retains much of its original character. Guests will first notice the incredible panoramic view from the < 75 ft from shore location that is part of the legacy benefit of this lake house. The Lodge sits above a sandy, weedless plateau that swimmers of all ages will enjoy all day long.
The layout of The Lodge is as follows:
* Half bathroom near front door main entry, adjacent to full size laundry & utility room
* Great room incorporates two - 2 person workstations with power access and comfortable adjustable-height barstools

What is the bedroom, bathroom layout and overall floor plan associated with Lakeside #1?
Lakeside #1 is a brand new 3,200 sq. ft. lake house expected to be completed and ready for Guests by May 2026. This is a year-round lake house built for perfect lake access and views to be enjoyed by all of the guests in your group - from where ever they are sitting or standing within the house. The lake house has a wrap-around deck accessible by both ramp access as well as front entry stairs to the main level -- which leads into a 2 story lake house design with a 2nd Floor closed sleeping loft and a fully finished lower-level setup with a supplemental kitchen galley and entertainment area leading in/out to the outdoor fire pit / lakeside area.
* Main level: 2 bedrooms each with Queen beds, one of which is the master bedroom with full bathroom ensuite. The other bedroom on the main level has direct access to the 2nd full size bathroom on the main floor which is shared with the kitchen / great-room / dining area. Both bathrooms are outfitted with full size showers.
* Lower level: 2 bedrooms each with Queen beds, both share the lower level full bathroom that is outfitted with a combination shower/tub.
* 2nd floor closed sleeping loft: This is an expansive space that overlooks the great room / kitchen / dining area as well as a fantastic view outward to the lake. The closed loft is setup with 4 built in twin beds, hanging closet area, and build in storage drawers. There is enough space for 3-4 additional kids to put sleeping bags & air mattress' on the floor if needed. Guest sharing this space will also share the full size bathroom / shower located on the main level.
Are 5RK Ranch Lakeside properties able to accommodate ages 0-4?
YES.
While parents and guardians of infants and small children between the ages of 0-4 should make sure to bring "all the resources that they need" to support the unique needs of those between age 0-4, Guests will find within each lake house property at 5RK Ranch Lakeside a bath tub as well as basic pack and play to help support Guest needs. Can I bring my own boat and/or does 5RK Ranch Lakeside offer access to a boat??
Guests bringing their own boat will find plenty of space along our private boat docks to secure boats up to 25 ft in length. 5RK Ranch Lakeside boat docks include secure dock cleats, fixed anti-scratch bumpers, and solar powered dock lights to help with evening docking & safety. Guests will need to provide their own ropes, boat specific dock bumpers, weather cover, and other safety and security gear if so desired to protect their respective boat(s).
For Guests needing to rent a pontoon boat (or other) for their stay, ask 5RK Ranch Lakeside for assistance! We have established a concierge-level partnership with a premiere boat rental company in Hayward WI that will deliver and pick-up our Guests' rental boats to our lake house property (so our Guests do not need to hassle with all of the typical in/out efforts)!! Guests staying for a week (7 nights) or longer may qualify for a special 5RK Ranch Lakeside discount -- inquire at time of booking!!

Does 5RK Ranch Lakeside provide any water sport / activity equipment that Guests may use during their stay?
5RK Ranch Lakeside boutique waterfront estate provides some basic on-property equipment with each individual Guest lake house (no cost) such as a canoe or kayak, a stand up paddle board, as well as a sturdy free-standing rack for storage of these items --- all secured by lock and anti-theft cable. These items will be kept in close proximity to the private dock accompanying the individual Guest lake house property. The kayak / canoe / SUP rack will have some open spaces that may be used by Guests for any appropriate lake equipment that they might bring / want to secure during their stay.
What is the parking situation on 5RK Ranch Lakeside? Can 5RK Ranch Lakeside accommodate boat / snowmobile / or other trailers?
5RK Ranch Lakeside has plenty of room for vehicle parking – for Guests ONLY! Please provide guidance to the 5RK Ranch Lakeside team prior to your arrival as to any parking needs you may have – such as how many vehicles and/or how many boat/snowmobile/other ATV trailers, or the like.
* Park only in designated areas
* No driving or parking on grass or landscaping
* Boat trailers, ATVs, or snowmobiles (if applicable) must be approved
* Guests are responsible for towing or vehicle recovery costs (if applicable)
* Camping of any kind is not allowed on 5RK Ranch Lakeside at any time. This includes vans, motor homes, RV’s, tents, or any other.
Is there a gym or workout facility on 5RK Ranch Lakeside property?
While there is not an on-property workout facility at 5RK Ranch Lakeside, as a valued guest we are happy to be able to extend to you member access during your stay to The Monarch Gym, a premier full-service gym / health and wellness community located in Downtown Hayward WI. This is a brand new, state of the art fitness and wellness facility (including indoor pickleball court and more) with a health food grocery & kitchen. The Monarch Gym is only 10 minutes from 5RK Ranch Lakeside estate and an easy stop along your way in or out of downtown Hayward which you are sure to do many times during your stay. Is there a golf course nearby and/or what are the top golf courses in the area?
Hayward WI is home to many great golf options for all skill levels.
5RK Ranch Lakeside has memberships at two (2) premier full-service 18-hole championship golf courses in the area; Hayward Golf Course (15 min away) and Big Fish Golf Club (5 min away). Guest's of 5RK Ranch Lakeside may qualify for special discounts, please check with 5RK Ranch Lakeside at the time of booking your reservation if of interest.

Fire-pits, Fireworks, and BBQ grills
* Fires are only allowed in designated fire pits on 5RK Ranch Lakeside property
* NO FIREWORKS or SKY LANTERNS OF ANY KIND AT ANY TIME
* BBQ GAS Grills are provided to Guests for their use during their stay (1 for each Lake house)
What is the pet policy / are pets allowed on 5RK Ranch Lakeside properties?
While the owners and purveyors of 5RK Ranch Lakeside LOVE animals and pets of all shapes and sizes, as hosts seeking to provide the best experience possible to all potential Guests – the 5RK Ranch Lakeside regrets that currently we cannot accommodate pets of any kind. If this changes in the future, we will make sure to make note of this change across all our applicable listings within the 5RK Ranch Lakeside estate.
** Service Animal Considerations:
Host will consider service animal requests (max of 1 per property). Guest will be requested to provide appropriate documentation and an accompanying picture of the specific Service Animal for consideration prior to booking. If approved and upon booking a reservation, Guest acknowledges that an additional pet cleaning fee will be assessed for the associated stay (pending quote from Cleaning Service Company).
Do you allow Guest to smoke, vape, or use smokeless tobacco on your property?
The 5RK Ranch Lakeside estate is a smoke-free environment. At no time may any Guest use any smoking, vaping, OR smokeless tobacco products indoors within any of the lake house properties. Smoking, vaping, and use of smokeless tobacco products is only permitted outdoors. Proper disposal of cigarette butts and by-products associated the use of smokeless tobacco required, AND is the sole responsibility of the Guest. Use of illegal substances are strictly prohibited at all times and everywhere on the 5RK Ranch Lakeside Estate.
Once ready to book my reservation with 5RK Ranch Lakeside, what is the payment structure?
While this model is subject to change in the future, the fundamental approach to reserving / booking a lake house property on 5RK Ranch Lakeside is as follows:
* 50% Cost of Reservation Due at Time of Booking
* 50% Cost of Reservation Due 30 Days Ahead of Arrival Date
* Any Additional / Incremental Service Fee's Incurred Due on Check-Out Date
Is a security deposit required or do you offer Guests accidental damage protection???
YES. 5RK Ranch Lakeside offers Guests an optional Accidental Damage Protection (Highly Recommended)
Accidents happen, but can also be very expensive. To provide our Guests with a worry-free stay, guests are strongly encouraged to opt for the Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) Waiver available at the time of booking a stay (of up to 21 nights) at 5RK Ranch Lakeside properties.
* This option is offered in place of a significantly larger security deposit.
The ADP Waiver is a low cost, non-refundable, per-stay fee that helps cover unexpected, accidental mishaps — so you can relax and fully enjoy your time at 5RK Ranch Lakeside with added peace of mind.
What the ADP Waiver Covers:
* Accidental, unintentional damage that may occur during your stay (up to 21 nights)
What the ADP Waiver Does Not Cover:
* The waiver does not apply to damage or issues resulting from:
* Parties or events
* Pets (unless explicitly approved in writing)
* Intentional or negligent damage
* Smoking, vaping, smokeless tobacco, or other related violations
* Any violation of house rules
The owner reserves the right to charge for damages or violations that exceed, or are not covered by, the Accidental Damage Protection.
What is the 5RK Ranch Lakeside cancellation policy?
While this policy is subject to change in the future, the current 5RK Ranch Lakeside cancellation policy is as follows:
* Guest cancellations made more than 60 days before the reservation arrival date will receive full-refund of reservation costs paid
* Guest cancellations made between 60 days and 30 days before the reservation arrival date will receive a 50% refund of reservation costs paid
* Guest cancellations made less than 30 days before the reservation arrival date will not be entitled to a refund of any reservation costs paid
